WATCH: Zola Jesus Releases Video for New Song “Fall Back”

Well-known artist Zola Jesus has just recently released a music video for single “Fall Back” off her latest album Versions.

Versions is an artistic work in collaboration with talented composer JG Thirwell. Single “Fall Back” was voted Best New Track via Pitchfork.

Produced by BANGS and directed by Allie Avital Tsypin, the music video of “Fall Back” has an elegant twist mixed with raw emotion. Nika (Zola Jesus) speaks on the thought process behind the writing the single.

“When I wrote ‘Fall Back,’ I was thinking of those moments in your life when you know exactly what you want, and how it is in that instant of knowing that you commit yourself to the unbending stamina of your own will. You relinquish control to instincts. The video communicates the stillness of conviction by capturing the point when the eye fixes the target. There is very little movement, as it is not about getting that thing you want, but knowing that it will be yours.”

The video is now streaming on NPR. Zola Jesus is soon to embark on fall tour alongside the talented JG Thirwell.
