Alt Pop-Rockers The Octopus Project have announced their Fall 2013 Tour dates. The group recently released their fifth studio album, Fever Forms in early July.
If Fever Forms was any indication, this could be hell of a tour. The Austin outfit’s style has always been dense, to say the least, but their fifth album was an absolute blast of psycho-electric stevia. Not every band can pull off a theremin, but The Octopus Project certainly had a try. Click here for the music video for “Sharpteeth”, a showcase of weird instruments and weirder ideas.
Perhaps best known for their work supporting bands such as DEVO or Explosions in the Sky, The Octopus Project has been consistently bizarre, novel, and shockingly fun. Think Flaming Lips, minus the giant human hamster-ball. Tour dates begin September 5th in Bryan, Texas.
