Dave Chapelle’s Oddball Festival set has created a buzz on the internet due to heckling from the audience during the August 29th performance in Hartford, CT. During Chapelle’s 25-minute set quite a few audience members boo’d and shouted the comedian during his performance. Chapelle’s reaction to the audience can only be described as angry, out of the ordinary and upsetting. Watch the videos below as Dave yells back at the audience, makes small talk, reads a book and even asks the sound man to play Kanye West’s “New Slaves.”
Today on Twitter Oddball Festival tweeted about the event and warned audience members of their new no-heckling rule for all remaining performances. Majority of fans support the rule, and are excited to see this year’s Oddball Festival headliners, Dave Chapelle, Flight of the Conchords, and other comedians.
PITTSBURGH! Absolutely NO HECKLING during tonight's show. Do it, and you will be immediately ejected from the venue. NO EXCEPTIONS.
