Brooklyn indie rockers TV On The Radio have released a stream of their latest single, “Million Miles,” as well as a music video for the same track.
“Million Miles,” featured today on NPR’s All Songs Considered, is the second standalone single the electro/soul/punk band has released in the last couple of months. “Mercy,” which debuted at the end of July, was the first piece of new music the band had put out since 2011. This music video, directed by TVOTR vocalist Kyp Malone and Brazilian filmmaker Natalia Leite, is the first in a six piece series TVOTR’s Dave Sitek and his Federal Prism label are doing in collaboration with the recently relaunched Myspace.
Though there has been no talk of a fifth album, the boys are definitely not falling off the radar. Frontman Tunde Adebimpe is starring alongside Kristin Wiig in the upcoming film Nasty Baby, as well as making music with his new project, the Higgins Waterproof Black Magic Band. With Federal Prism spreading it’s wings this year, we’ll be seeing and hearing a lot from TVOTR.
