Frightened Rabbit Announce New EP Late March, Death March Set for September 2013 Release

Scottish indie rockers, Frightened Rabbit, recently announced their upcoming EP, Late March, Death March, with a September release date. To sweeten the deal, the band posted a video with footage from their Australian tour.

With their US tour coming up this fall, Frightened Rabbit are preparing fans for what’s in store. Along with the announcement of their five song EP release set for September 10th, the band gathered footage from their shows, backstage, on the tour bus, and more for teaser video from their Australian tour. About the title track, which happens to be their current single, Frontman Scott Hutchinson stated:

“This song takes a fairly commonplace, mundane event (an argument on the way home from a night of drinking) and adds a fair bit of melodrama, mimicking the gasoline effect of pouring drink on an argument, I suppose. I’ve always loved elevating ‘the everyday’ into something larger and louder than it actually is. These small things can seem so serious and earth shattering at the time, then you wake up and you can see how daft you both were.”

Interestingly, every pre-order of the EP receives a track instantly, entitled “Radio Silence.” To preview the track, check out an acoustic version over at Paste Magazine.
