Brit trip-hoppers Zero 7 are back in action with a more upbeat single than most remember from them, but it plays quite nicely with the mellow bits they’ve instilled in the mix.
Sam Hardaker and Henry Binns, the two behind the Zero 7 moniker, have created many songs that made their way into movies and television shows, one of the more well-known being “In The Waiting Line”, which they collaborated on with Australian popstress Sia Furler. The track was featured on the slightly indie groundbreaking soundtrack for The Garden State, as well as many other programs.
Zero 7 has come to be identified by their overall chill sounds, but they’ve been on a break from creating new music since their last album, Yeah Ghost, in 2009. Their newest music, “On My Own”, comes from a 12″ single set for release August 26th, which also features the track “Don’t Call It Love”.
