Anna Calvi has released the stream for her new song, “Eliza,” the first single from her upcoming album One Breath.
Calvi wrote all of the music and lyrics for One Breath herself, so the album is much more personal than her previous work. “Eliza” is a fitting introduction to the tone of the new album. According to Calvi, the single is about “seeing a strong and beautiful woman who reminds you of a part of yourself that has got lost somehow, and striving to become that person again.” You can listen to the track now on Soundcloud, and it is also available as a single for digital download.
The British artist will be staying busy this fall, with the release of a two-track bundle of “Eliza” and another new song, “Kiss To Your Twin,” on October 7, One Breath dropping on October 8 and a fall tour of the United States and Europe.
