With The National’s long-awaited Grateful Dead tribute album in its final stages of production, the band gave a treat to fans at Outside Lands festival when they performed their song, “Terrible Love,” along with Dead member Bob Weir.
As a nod to inspirations from their past, The National have been working on an album entitled Dead Hot, which will feature themselves and a number of well-known indie bands paying tribute to the Grateful Dead. Outside Lands’ festival attendees were lucky enough to be given a live preview of the project in reverse, with The National performing their own “Terrible Love” with Bob Weir. The video quality may not be at the professional level, but the song is most definitely worth a listen. Check out The National and Bob Weir performing “Terrible Love” below.
