An attendee at HARD Summer Festival has died after experiencing cardiac distress during the concert last Saturday. The experience caused artists and fans alike to be affected.
As confirmed by LiveNation, a fan of the LA electronic gathering, HARD Summer Festival, unfortunately experienced cardiac distress that resulted in his death in the hospital shortly after being taken from the scene in an ambulance. With a first hand account, SPIN Magazine stated that, after following the ambulance en route to the scene, they witnessed the medics perform CPR on the man, who had been lying at the edge of the field (it is unclear at this time if there where any underlying causes behind the cardiac distress).
A performer at the festival, Flying Lotus, tweeted his reaction to witnessing the tragedy, which occurred right before his set.

“During Saturday evening’s event held at Los Angeles State Historic Park, a patron experienced cardiac distress and sadly passed away at the hospital. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
Our guests’ safety and well being is of paramount importance at every Live Nation event. We have skilled EMT’s, police, and security staff deployed on site to respond to any emergency situation and last night members of this emergency team were with this patron and administering CPR within two minutes of notification. We work closely with local health and safety authorities to plan for emergencies and set the appropriate staffing levels for each event.
