After a kickoff performance at San Francisco’s Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival, Dawes mounts their roots-rock tour horse as they zig-zag towards Sin City, where they will help to inaugurate the desert downtown’s Life Is Beautiful Festival.
Dawes’ acoustic storytelling candor has found a calling in the waxing nostalgia of a generation who grew up on dad’s folk-revival records and Prairie Home Companion. With their motley supporting cast which includes Jason Isbell, Caitlin Rose, Hayes Carll, Johnathan Rice, and The Wild Feathers, the young headliners will be pinballing through a number of major U.S. festivals: Life is Good in Canton, Mass., Champaign’s Pygmalion, and Austin City Limits to name a few.
