Daft Punk to Appear On Stephen Colbert’s Colbchella ‘013

The hit pop-punk duo, Daft Punk, are scheduled to appear on Stephen Colbert’s Colbchella ‘013 next week. Their may release of Random Access Memories has become a chart-topping success in just a few short months. Learn more about their appearance on Colbchella.

Due to a Contractual Agreement with MTV, Daft Punk did not appear on the Stephen Colbert show. Instead the night was a celebrity-filled dance party to the band’s hit song “Get Lucky.” Celebrity appearances included Matt Damon, Jimmy Fallon, the cast of Breaking Bad, and more. Stephen Colbert has announced Daft Punk will appear at the StePhest Colbchella ‘013. Last year’s Colbchella lineup included Santigold, Flaming Lips and more. Looking back on last year’s performances, Santigold and the Flaming Lips added to the excitement and humor that is Colbchella Fest, airing videos of live-performances as well as interviews with Stephen Colbert. Needless to say this music festival is filled with great comedy and entertainment for fans to enjoy.

Daft Punk is sure to be a crowd-pleaser with Random Access Memories debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 and “Get Lucky” being the Summer 2013 anthem. The June stream of the duo’s 10-minute remix of “Get Lucky” proved that Daft Punk has lot more up their sleeves. In early July the band announced that Daft Punk action figures will be released in December 2013. Their Colbchella performance will be their first television appearance since the May release of Random Access Memories.
