Corrections House Announce New Album Last City Zero Set for October 2013 Release

Big news from big names – metal supergroup Corrections House is geared up and ready to drop their debut album. Last City Zero is currently set for an October 2013 release. If you find yourself wondering why you should be excited about this then read on, education after the jump.

Corrections House is:

– Mike IX Williams: lead singer from NOLA sludge metal outfit Eyehategod.

– Scott Kelly: guitarist and vocalist from Neurosis, also a frequent collaborator with Mastodon.

– Bruce Lamont: saxophonist (!), clarinetist (!!) and singer from the groundbreaking, genre-defying metal group Yakuza (seriously, listen to this if you haven’t heard them before)

– Sanford Parker: Bassist from Minsk and Nachtmystium.

There you have it, those of you familiar with these names should be salivating. For the rest, you’re looking at a lineup of metal innovators – individually devastating, but with their powers combined…well. Corrections House stormed the scene early in 2013 with a 7″ album, check out the brutally ominous “Hoax The System” for taste of what’s to come. Winter tour dates have also been announced.
