A.F.I. have finally released the new single “I Hope You Suffer” in anticipation of their new album set for September 2013 release.
Their upcoming LP will be the bands ninth studio album. With a sneak peak at their newly released single “I Hope You Suffer,” the work will surely bring the attention of anticipating fans.
In true AFI fashion, the song typically starts out mysterious with some intricate musical elaboration’s before turning it over to the seductive vocals of singer Davey Havok. Keeping you on your toes, the single features an attractive chorus outlined with hardcore guitar riffs tightly packaged on top of a steady drum rhythm. The musicality of the piece gives the audience plenty of means to take the come back of AFI seriously.
With several hits behind them, it is only expected that AFI return with a vengeance after several years of no new music from the illustrious band.
Their upcoming ninth studio album via Republic Records is still untitled.
“We are thrilled to be joining the Republic family for the release of our ninth record. We’ve spent over two years realizing this album and could not be more excited to share it with all.”
Havok stated in a recent press release.
