Swedish black metal group, Watain, released their latest stream for the new song “The Child Must Die” via Stereogum. The track will be featured on their upcoming album The Wild Hunt, scheduled to release August 20th in the US.
Watain is getting ready to release their new LP The Wild Hunt next month. The album is scheduled to release August 19th in Europe and August 20th in North America on the band’s own label His Master’s Noise via Century Media Records. In June the band released their new song “All That May Bleed” from the upcoming LP. With comparisons to Metallica, the new song is quite polished yet truly unique and original to Watain’s style and performance. Watain made a comment on their new track, “The Child Must Die.”
“‘The Child Must Die’ is a song of sorrow and liberation, of the sacrifices that the path of adversity requires. Musically it shows yet another side of ‘The Wild Hunt,’ being more Heavy Metal-rooted perhaps than ‘All That May Bleed’.”
