The Devin Townsend Project has shared a preview of their next highly ambitious release, which will be called the Retinal Circus CD/DVD set.
Retinal Circus was filmed in fall 2012 in London’s gorgeous and historic venue The Roundhouse. For over three hours, the DVD will showcase a long performance of songs that quite literally span Devin Townsend’s entire career. As such, this is truly not a film to miss out on; it will likely be incredible, if the full choir, theatrics, and visual and aural effects added to the performance are any indication of the gravity and significance of this truly astounding project.
Back in October, Townsend provided a stream of a sneak preview of the Retinal Circus experience which prepared fans for what was forthcoming.
The North American release date has still not yet been announced, but it likely will be soon. When it is, the full product will be available as a two-CD, two-DVD package, with the following imports also available:
– standard two-disc DVD
– standard one-disc Blu-Ray
– standard two-CD audio
– special-edition two-DVD/one Blu-Ray/two-CD box set
– diehard deluxe fan box including two DVD’s, one Blu-Ray, and two CD’s
Full details of the diehard deluxe box’s contents will be revealed very soon.
