Cosmic Psychos to Perform In Tandem with Screening of Blokes You Can Trust While On Recently Announced Fall 2013 Tour

Legendary Australian punk band Cosmic Psychos greatly influenced the Seattle grunge scene of the early 1990’s, but sadly never reached the same level of commercial success in the United States that many American grunge bands did. Nonetheless, their influence was widespread and notable, and now they are returning to North America again to reach a wider audience. They will perform in the U.S. for the first time in an astonishing eighteen years.

Alongside the tour, the band will perform in tandem with a screening of their extensive personal documentary, Blokes You Can Trust, which chronicles the band’s strange and comical misadventures, unlikely rise to Australian fame, and influence on artists such as Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder since the band’s formation in 1982 in rural Australia.

During the height of the grunge era, Cosmic Psychos performed with much more commercially successful bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam. They have been cited as influences by an impressive array of American grunge and punk musicians, including Eddie Vedder, Mark Arm, Buzz Osborne, and Butch Vig.

The documentary’s trailer can be viewed below.
