The Flaming Lips have released a new video for their single “Turning Violent” from album The Terror. Meanwhile, frontman Wayne Coyne has an original comic book in the works.
Wayne Coyne has been hard at work on his first-ever adult comic book entitled The Sun is Sick. This 40 page masterpiece will feature fully illustrated experience soon to be released at Comic-Con 2013. Once on sale at the annual festival, the limited number of copies will surely not last throughout the four day event from July 18th-21st. Only on July 22nd will the high demand comic be available through The Flaming Lips official website.
Please note this comic is extremely “adult” rated and not suitable for children. Being familiar with Wayne’s creative artwork may help you prepare for what to expect in The Sun is Sick.
Paste Magazine will provide a sneak preview the day before Comic-Con on July 17th with an article featuring the one and only Coyne and his mastermind behind the comic. Make sure not to miss this.
If this news wasn’t enough, The Flaming Lips have also been going hard in releasing their video for “Turning Violent.” The video is from their latest album The Terror which features the usuals such as bright lights and laser beams as well as the brilliant music of course. There is an old school feel that brings life to this creative work.
The Lips have kept busy with collaborations, music videos, charity events and so much more.
