Johnny Marr Reveals Stream for New Song “The It-Switch” and Announces Fall 2013 Tour Dates

English musician Johnny Marr has written and recorded a new song and will be touring in the U.S. this fall.

The new track, entitled “The It-Switch,” is currently streaming on Pitchfork and appears as the b-side to his new single, “New Town Velocity.” The latter is featured on his solo debut, The Messenger, which he released earlier this year. The single will be released exclusively in the U.K. next week on limited edition 7″ vinyl and as an iTunes download.

Although The Messenger is Marr’s first solo album, he has plenty of experience in music, as a co-songwriter and guitarist for The Smiths and member of The Talking Heads, The Pet Shop Boys, Modest Mouse and more.

Marr toured in the spring for his latest album, including stops at Coachella and on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” One of the stops on his upcoming fall tour will be at Fun Fun Fun Festival.
