It was already known that Arcade Fire would be releasing new material this Fall but now we have an official release date. Fans can mark their calendars for October 29th.
The band made the announcement about the release date in response to a fan’s tweet. Funny enough, the fan simply tweeted “you’re my favorite” to the band.

LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy worked with the band on the new material so fans can anticipate perhaps a departure from their signature style. The first single should be out September 9th.
Hopefully with the new album announcement tour dates will follow along shortly.
