Rising rap/hip-hop artists Watsky and Wax will be co-headlining a North American and European tour, the “Hug A Hater” Tour, including five shows as part of the Vans Warped Tour Europe 2013.
Watsky released his first studio album, “Cardboard Castles,” earlier this year and it debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Album chart. He has been featured on “Access Hollywood” and MTV, and some might even recognize him from his role as Chris K. on Netflix’s new season of “Arrested Development.” The Boston Herald has called Watsky “a pioneer blending Rivers Cuomo’s earnest alienation, Eminem’s furious flow and B.o.B.’s quirky hipster vibe.”
Wax found similar success this year with his latest album, “Continue,” which debuted at No. 150 on the Billboard 200. He has steadily been building a fan base with singles, YouTube videos, tours and a podcast. Wax has played guitar since age 10 and has a knack for writing and arranging music.
You can catch these two in action in 14 U.S. cities and 15 cities across Europe this October and November.
