Coming from their album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth, released earlier this summer, Mount Kimbie has finally let surface the video for their new single “You Took Your Time”.
Cold Spring Fault Less Youth is Mount Kimbie’s second album via Warp Records. The black and white video was directed by Swedish director Marcus Söderlund set in the isolated outskirts of the city of Tilbury, Essex.
The video takes you on a trip through a wind of narratives and an array of characters.
As a collaboration featuring King Krule, “You Took Your Time” features an electronic feel accompanied by a steady rhythm. You can see Mount Kimbie is branching out with an array of instruments involved as well as different sound effects.
The message of “You Took Your Time” is powerful and laid out well with the help of partner in crime King Krule. He really brings a unique twist to the feel of this single.
