Daft Punk Action Figures Announced, Set for December 2013 Release

Daft Punk are releasing some new memorabilia coinciding with their latest album, Random Access Memories. A set of action figures is a more than perfect addition to the comic hero-esque French duo’s growing empire.

To put it simply, Daft Punk are HUGE right now. Random Access Memories debuted mid-May at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, and the album’s first single, “Get Lucky” was an instant hit that has since been remixed by multiple artists of various genres, including Daft Punk themselves. So, why not add toys to the mix?

The miniatures, produced by high end Japanese toy company S.H. Figuards, were designed under the direct supervision of the duo to ensure the utmost accuracy. The six inch figures feature Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo in hyper-realistic and detailed renditions of their Random Access Memories garb. In addition to the action figures themselves, seven collectible sets of interchangeable hand parts will be released to go along with the toy’s advanced articulation design to facilitate what the company calls “dynamic posing.”

The action figures will be officially released on December 27th, just in time for Christmas, but are available for pre-order now through Amazon.

UPDATE: A photo has leaked of the action figures on display at the recent San Diego Comic Con:
