The Portland-based chamber pop group Typhoon is preparing to release their latest LP, White Lighter, on August 20, and will be heading out on the road to support it this fall. There’s just one small catch: the band is in desperate need of a new van to convey the 11-member group across the nation. They’ve turned to Kickstarter to try to fund the purchase, offering up pre-orders of their new album in addition to a host of other rewards. Once they’ve reached their goal, they’ll make their way to Schubas in September.
