Footage has now been released by Atoms For Peace of a very secret performance they held last month at LA club Fais Do Do, a venue the band renamed Club Amok for the night. Video of the gig has previously been released, but the new footage provides a more intimate look.
The show held quite a bit of mystery to it, especially in that prior to the performance, the location was kept a secret, and fans weren’t able to buy tickets. Rather, they could either win them via various radio lotteries, or were sent to the Silverlake Conservatory of Music to purchase raffle tickets that benefitted the non-profit, of which AFP bassist Flea had originally founded, and hope to win them through that. Fans were also granted tickets upon purchasing the Atoms For Peace debut from earlier this year, Amok, from certain LA record shops.
Win those lucky attendees, did, however, as they got to witness a spectacular set from the band. Watch below as the electronic psychedelia of “Default” and “Dropped” inspire Flea and Thom Yorke’s bodies to do those things only those two’s bodies can ever do:
In continued support of Amok, Atoms For Peace will begin touring this in couple of days, and have now added a Nashville date to the mix.
