Pretty Lights, also known as Derek Vincent Smith, will make his national TV debut on “Conan” on July 17, with Talib Kweli. This won’t be Pretty Lights’ first hip-hop collaboration: he also created the track “All These Lights” with The Grouch & Eligh.

Radio station KCRW also aired the “Morning Becomes Eclectic” session July 2.

A Color Map of the Sun is the first studio album from Pretty Lights that has been released digitally and physically at the same time. Albums are always available at no cost on the Pretty Lights website. It will also be made available for purchase through other digital outlets, like Amazon and iTunes, as well as on double-disc CD and vinyl.
