Red Bull Sound Select has been presenting shows across the country all year long, and in July the party will make its way to Chicago. Metric has been selected to headline a special event at the House of Blues and tickets are free to fans who request them through Red Bull’s Sound Select website. The Canadian group’s 2012 release Synthetica was some of their most vital work in years, showcasing Emily Haines’ powerful vocal presence. Judging by the event’s sponsor, the group’s stop in Chicago is sure to be an energy-infused affair.
