Third Man Records is excited to announce the June 25th release of three very exciting live records: The Shins, The Kills, and Seasick Steve.
According to Third Man records, all three albums were recorded last October in the honest, old-school method without overdubs or editing, and are intended to bring listeners as close to the experience of the performance as possible. The records were mixed by Grammy Award winning engineer Vance Powell in real time on a Rupert Neve 5008 console, and then instantly cut to vinyl by master cutter George Ingram using a 1953 Scully Lathe – the same lathe that is rumored to have been used in cutting James Brown’s It’s A Man’s World.
Although the three Third Man 12″ records are not scheduled to be available until June 25th, pre-orders are starting now and can be found at the Third Man Records online store.
