Travis Announces New Album Where You Stand Set for August 2013 Release

Following a five-year hiatus, one of the UK’s best loved bands have announced a brand new full-length, entitled Where You Stand, which will be available on August 20. A follow-up Travis tour will also kick off mid-September.

The album will be released on Travis’ own label, Red Telephone Box, and will be sure to delight listeners who have been patiently waiting for new music during the band’s extended break. The Scottish foursome, who have been around for sixteen years, have penned another triumphant series of memorable rock anthems that can be heard live beginning September 19. Where You Stand was also notably recorded in several different locations, including London, Norway, New York, and Berlin—and produced on the same soundboard that helped bring Radiohead’s stunning masterpiece OK Computer to life.

The Travis hiatus five years ago was a mutual—and not uncivil—decision. It occurred simply as a result of collective exhaustion, relentless touring, and a disheartening lack of time to spend with their families. But the band members are well-rested and satisfied now, prepared to return full-time to the music scene. They appear back and better than ever, ready to take the world by storm once again, with tours in several countries lined up over the next several months.

The album can be preordered on the band’s official site.
