Pharrell Williams has a rather long history of collaborative involvement with Universal and Illumination Entertainment’s children’s comedic movie series, Despicable Me, writing music for the first movie’s soundtrack—and has returned to write new music for the movie’s much-anticipated sequel as well. He has released a stream of the new song “Happy” which will be featured in the 3D-CG film.
