Ministry Announces New CD From Beer To Eternity Set for September 2013 Release

Ministry’s 13th studio album, From Beer to Eternity is ready to be released in September. This is fantastic news since everyone, including the band themselves, thought their 2012 album Relapse would be their last.

When asked recently why frontman Al Jourgensen decided to make another album after Relapse, which was declared to be the end of it all, Jourgensen replied simply, “I had no choice.” After the sudden passing of Rigor Mortis’ Mike Scaccia, who finished 18 rough tracks with Ministry a mere three days before his death, he felt the need to finish the album as a tribute.

This is the second time Ministry has released an album after announcing retirement. The Last Sucker, their 2007 album immediately following Rio Grande Blood, and 2012’s Relapse were both said to be the last material the band would ever put out.

The first single off Beer drops digitally on iTunes in late July, though a concrete date has not yet been announced. This Summer will also see the release of Jourgensen’s authorized biography, Ministry: The Gospels According To Al Jourgensen, on July 9th. If that’s not enough, a two disc DVD set titled Ministry: Enjoy the Quiet-Live at Wacken 2012 will debut at Germany’s Wacken Open Air festival in August.

From Beer to Eternity is out September 2nd. For news and updates, check out Ministry’s Facebook page, or delve little bit deeper and pay a visit to Jourgensen’s furry children, Ozzy and Lemmy.
