Ty Segall put out so many album and spent so much time on tour last year that I think we all expected he would take it easy in 2013. Say what you will about the garage rock wunderkind, but work ethic is not something that he lacks. So, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that Segall already has a new album called Sleeper ready to debut via Drag City on August 20. He’s also hitting the road again and returning to the Logan Square Auditorium—the same spot where he and Thee Oh Sees melted faces last year.
