Father John Misty is getting ready to launch “Innocence” by Misty, a female perfume created in collaboration with Sanae Barber of SANAE Intoxicants perfume lab. In more normal news, he also has a new music video out for his song, “Funtimes in Babylon”.
Father John Misty, otherwise known as Josh Tillman, might be known as a former member of Fleet Foxes to some. And to others, he might be known simply through his solo work but he certainly is not know as a developer of women’s perfumes. Until now. His press release states:
“Innocence” will initially be released in limited edition of 300 bottles as an Eau de Parfum of all natural, rare essential oils, fixed in a base of organic cane alcohol. “Innocence” by Misty has pure botanical fragrances of Sweet Orange Oil, Tunisian Neroli, Mimosa Absolute, Violet Absolute, Jasmine Grand, Bourbon Vanilla, and Linden Blossom. The perfumes will be carried in an atomizer style perfume bottle of 15 ml.
The fragrance is scheduled to be released this August. In case you afraid he’s given up on music, let the release of a new music video put your fears aside. The video for “Funtimes in Babylon”, the opening track of his most recent album, Fear Fun, is set in a post-apocalyptic or at least post-terrible accident world. Fortunately VHS cameras are still in great order though. Watch the video, including the surprise ending, below:
