Industrial Heavyweights Chris Vrenna, Luc Van Acker, Raymond Watts, Dave Ogilvie and Chris Kniker Unite to Form New Band Primitive Race

Five pivotal members of the industrial music scene have banded together to form supergroup Primitive Race. Still in its infancy, the band is looking to fans for publicity and financial support.

It would be difficult to dream up a more perfect lineup of contributors for an industrial project. Primitive Race’s five members are as follows: Chris Vrenna, former drummer for Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson and founding member of Tweaker; Chris Kniker, producer for Revolting Cocks, KMFDM and Lords of Acid among many others; Luc Van Acker, a founding member of Revolting Cocks; Raymond Watts, better known for his one man project PIG and a founding member of KMFDM; last, but not least, Dave Ogilvie, producer for Skinny Puppy, Killing Joke and Marilyn Manson among others.

The group is currently in the middle of writing their debut album, the process of which is uniquely challenging. Since the five men are spread across the globe, they bounce ideas and sounds back and forth through various means of communication until they have pieced together a track.

To finance this musical experiment, Primitive Race has launched a merchandise campaign as a means of crowdfunding, offering original t-shirts, masks, and other personalized goodies to backers. Help support Primitive Race here.
