Muse is to perform after the world premiere of “World War Z” in London on June 2nd. The feature film features 14 minutes of the band’s song “Isolated System.”
Muse will be performing at Horse Guards Parade Ground, St. James Park. The concert will take place after “World War Z” screens in Leicester Square.
Paramount will film the live performance and create footage that will be available to the public in the near future. Paramount Pictures president of the music movie division, Randy Spendlove, reflects on the effects of the bands unique sound.
“It made the movie feel and sound really cool. After we layered in the music, we reached out to their management in the U.S. and the U.K. to see how we could reach beyond the movie. We wanted (the relationship) to be bigger than that.”
Although World War Z’s soundtrack release will strictly feature Marc Beltrami’s score, Muse’s unparalleled talent will be featured on all platforms of the films trailers. Tickets for the performance will be available starting May 28th and can be purchased by visiting www.worldwarz.co.uk/MUSE.
World War Z opens in theaters June 21st. Starring Brad Pitt, the film is centered around a former United Nations investigator journeying around the world to save the human race from a widespread pandemic.
