P.O.S. aka Stef Alexander recently gave his first performance since he withdrew from the road while awaiting a kidney transplant. Despite his setbacks, he chose not to wait on returning to the stage.

He performed for 25 minutes on the St. Paul’s “Love Is the Law” concert, his first performance in five months. He is planning longer sets at Soundset and Sasquatch! in Seattle, WA, playing before the Postal Service and Alt-J.
He was in the midst of touring behind his “We Don’t Even Live Here” album, which dropped in October 2012. It featured the “Weird Friends (We Don’t Even Live Here)” single and video. Then due to health issues stemming from needing kidney transplant, he cancelled his Fall 2012 tour.
Alexander said in an interview that he and his doctors vetted six different matching donors, but each of them had fallen through for various reasons. But despite the setbacks, he is seeking donors, especially males with O-type blood. He said his body has also been reacting better to home dialysis.
He has also been making music again, and has taken part on the Marijuana Deathsquads and their Icehouse in Minneapolis, MN residency, which ends on May 31. He has also been creating beats for a new album for the near distant future.
