Kanye West confirms his new album is called Yeezus and will be released on June 18th.
Kanye West is back with new album and it is being confirmed that it is indeed titled Yeezus and will be released June 18th(via Pitchfork). Earlier today it was reported that the pre-order of Yeezus was available on iTunes. The pre-order has since been removed but we are left with the album artwork, which is the gold wired jewel case seen above. The strange bit of information the pre-order provided is that there are 14 tracks, 13 of which are marked at 3:02 while the last marking at 3:03. You could read further into this or just assume the time signatures are placeholders.
Regardless, Kanye has been promoting Yeezus in a way only Kanye can. First West described the follow up of 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy as “dark” and then over the weekend he projected new single “New Slaves” across the walls on 66 different buildings around the world. After debuting new song “I Am A God” at the Met Ball, he performed two new songs on Saturday Night Live, all of which are expected to appear on Yeezus.
