Followers of Nine Inch Nails, Angels & Airwaves, Paramore, The Lostprophets, or alternative rock in general, perk up your ears. IIan Rubin, drummer associated with all of the aforementioned acts, has recently announced that his own solo project The New Regime will be releasing their third album, and mxdwn has an exclusive stream of his new track “Touch Of Reality.” Stream the new music after the break.
Exhibit A, the soon-to-be third album by Rubin and The New Regime, is currently set to be released tomorrow May 7th. That didn’t stop us from getting an exclusive preview of the track “Touch of Reality” a day before its scheduled release. The track features dark undertones and electronic samples that are seeming to permeate every genre short of country these days. Take a listen to the exclusive track below:
Rubin has been keeping busy since he founded The New Regime in 2007, having joined with the likes of Nine Inch Nails in 2008, Angels & Airwaves in 2011, and Paramore just last year. In the six years since his solo project’s inception, he has recorded at least eight studio albums and has graced countless festival stages across multiple international tours.
