Toronto’s own electronic experimental band Crystal Castles have released their brand new video for the latest single, “Affection.”
The band formed in 2004, consisting of vocalist Alice Glass and producer Ethan Kath, who discovered one another in their hometown of Toronto and immediately connected creatively. Kath considered Glass an “undiscovered poet” with insightful lyrics and great stage presence, and he invited her to collaborate vocally on various instrumental tracks that he had been working on.
Crystal Castles are also currently on a headlining tour across North America, and will support Depeche Mode in the fall.
The band’s live shows have always been chaotic and unpredictable, while the music remains especially profound and emotional. The tradition carries on with the track “Affection.” The new video, which contributes incredible visuals to the haunting and gorgeous imagery already laid out by the music, can be watched below.
