Gay sex-icon Seth Bogart is returning to the Bay Area as Hunx with his Punx. Known for outrageous music videos and flamboyant personas, the homoerotic pop-punk band is embarking on a headlining tour this April, signifying an upcoming record release; Street Punk. The band is currently a trio including Shannon Shaw and Erin Emslie. Past projects include quartet Gravy Train!!! with Younger Lover’s Brontez Purnell. Expect 50’s and 60’s bubblegum pop influenced tunes and zebra hotpants.
Shannon and the Clams, an Oakland garage band and beach rock revival headed by Shannon Shaw will be releasing a new record; Dreams in the Rat House on Hardly Art Records out May 21st and available for this show on the 18th. Shannon and the Clams have been on the road and rising extensively. If you haven’t seen them in their hometown yet, see them at The New Parish – this is going to be an epic show.
