Primal Scream Announce New Album More Light Set for June 2013 Release

If you thought Scottish rockers Primal Scream had called it quits after 5 years of not releasing an LP, think again. The veteran band is back with a new LP titled More Light set for release this June.

Their 10th studio album will include what band member Bobby Gillespie calls a “sophisticated, layered, cinematic, and orchestral” sound. The LP will include 13 tracks but, for fans who crave a little more, a 19-track deluxe version will also be available. The album will be released by the band’s own label, First International, which is distributed by Ignition Records. In addition to revealing details about the album, Primal Scream offered a few samples of More Light in the form of videos for “It’s Alright, It’s Okay” and “2013,” which opens up the album.
