Industrial legends Skinny Puppy with their 18th album, the aptly titled Weapon, which will be available May 28th.
The Vancouver outfit, which has never been afraid of making political statements, take a simple and direct approach to the songwriting in this LP on topics that are both controversial and complex, namely humanity’s fascination with weapons. Lyrics that explore people’s love of guns and contradictory revulsion towards the results they bring are laid over synths and mechanized rhythms that reflect the turmoil brought about by weapons.
