You can now stream The Flaming Lips’ new album The Terror a week before it is officially released.
Antiquiet reports The Flaming Lips are once again ready to share new music with the world. Just a week after they debuted a bizarre stage setup on Letterman the psychedelic rockers from Oklahoma are set to release The Terror on April 16th but you can now stream the entire thing below (via NPR).
The Terror follows The Flaming Lips’ collaboration album The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends and is the official follow up of 2009’s studio album Embryonic. It consists of nine songs running at fifty-five minutes. The Terror is said to be darker than much of the band’s previous work. On The Flaming Lips’ offical website Wayne Coyne said of The Terror, “If we have love, give love and know love … we are truly alive and if there is no love, there would be no life. The Terror, we know now, that even without love, life goes on…we just go on…There is no mercy killing.”
