German DJ, Producer, Fashion Designer, and founder of techno label BPitch Control, Ellen Allien (a.k.a. Ellen Fraatz) has released a new track titled “Gate of Light” off of her new album LISm. She has also announced an impressive list of tour dates and venues to span the course of the next five months. More info on her ongoing tour and the play button for “Gate of Light” bellow.
Ellen Allien will have her hands full through september, as she will be touring to promote her new forty-five minute dance album LISm. Her tour will mostly be focused in Europe, though she will be making appearances in Israel, China, Japan, New York, Detroit, and Washington D.C among other notable places and venues.
Recently, Ellen released a portion of that album in the form of “Gate of Light.” This track is eerie to say the least, and leaves one anticipating a beat which never drops…almost satisfyingly so. While a little out there, this track finds a way to be very effective and certainly leaves one wondering what the rest of her album has in store.
