Billy Corgan Begins Writing Next Smashing Pumpkins Album

No, this is not a Siamese dream: Smashing Pumpkins are back at it, getting started on the writing process for their next album.

Just a few days ago, lead man Billy Corgan tweeted the following:

Excited to announce today’s our 1st official day of writing for new SP album. Wish us luck!

Since it’s still so early, a title for this project has yet to be announced. Aside from working on their forthcoming LP, which will be a follow up to 2012’s Oceania, the Smashing Pumpkins are also planning on touring through North America beginning in April.
