Warm and nostalgic tinged with dark imagery are the band Widowspeak from Brooklyn. Haunting vocals pair with 1950’s pop ballads and 1970’s psych influence producing a dreamy and western-tinged take on rock & roll. Their sophomore album, Almanac, was released this past January and accordingly, the album speaks of the cyclic nature of life – love, youth, travel, weather & seasons, and time.
