This Spring has seen several major new album announcements. The trend seems to be continuing into the Summer as Sigur Ros have announced a new album for June.
The album, titled Kveikur, will be released on June 18 via XL Recordings. The material for the album is slightly more aggressive than what Sigur Ros has done before.
The band will also be touring in support of the album. Major dates will include an appearance at Madison Square Garden and also on Late Night will Jimmy Fallon. The late night appearance will actually be tonight (March 22nd).
