Austin locals Ringo Deathstarr jumped in as a last-minute addition to the Saturday Red Bull Sound Select event with The Smashing Pumpkins. Usually that would mean no one would know that the band was playing, but to their good fortune, this event was at its max capacity before the doors even opened. The trio, like Bleeding Rainbow who we covered earlier this week, features both a male and female singer, awash in tons of reverberation and added feedback. The good news is, like most of the recent crop of psych/ambient-influenced rock, this band is fun and exciting.
