Danish artist MØ was the perfect introduction to Windish Agency’s Friday day party. Karen Marie Ørsted is a captivating performer in every respect: besides crooning catchy, funky, electro-pop, she takes over the stage with wild, energetic movement. High kicks, braid swings, air punches, and more become part of her storytelling, and it adds a unique dynamism to an already excellent show. MØ’s tunes incorporate influences from hip hop and glitchy electro to old-school soul, and they make for a compelling and surprisingly cohesive set.
