Elephant stone played the inside stage at the Hotel Vegas, which had been mostly shrouded in darkness. This all changed once the band’s liquid light projections exploded into life in the background, mirroring the energy of their sound. With frontman Rishi Dhir sometimes yielding a guitar, and at other points, sitting cross-legged with a sitar, to say Elephant Stone catered to variety would be a slight understatement. Even at their slotted time of after the 1 am mark, the band played to a large crowd of admirers. Their sound was very true to that of classic mod-era ’60’s psychedelic rock. A beautiful and rocking colour trip.
