No matter how hard they rocked, hometown heroes Ume fell victim to poor sound quality, boatloads of unneeded feedback, and a general tinniness that left a crowded Swan Dive audience frustrated to say the least. Frontwoman Lauren LL was electric onstage, rocking nimble solos atop her biting vocals. Ume is definitely a band to check out, albeit at a different venue.
